Ioana-Roxana studies BSc in International Relations at LSE, minoring in Business & Innovation. Her passions lie in disruptive and high technology, business development, astronomy, and politics. She is a former FBI Quantico Marine Corps Base student and a former candidate of the Hult Prize competition funded by the Clinton Global Initiative. In the future, she wishes to dedicate herself towards innovating and improving businesses.

Ketevan studied BSc International Relations at LSE. She continues to work on multilateral projects in International Organisations and Governmental Agencies. She believes that with AI set to impact the individual and global routine, a diverse approach to understanding and managing the rise of the machine is warranted. Consequently, she is interested in policy development that will help overcome regulatory ambivalence in the technology sector.

Bartu Kaleagasi

Bartu studies Law at UCL and Philosophy of Science at LSE. His interests include artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and space exploration. He is the editor of The Social Humanist, an international journal with articles ranging from astrobiology to political analysis. In the future, he plans to find opportunities in technology and venture capital. He also enjoys music, philosophy, and biking.

Catalina Popescu
Catalina studies BEng Computing at Imperial College London. Her interests include artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms, especially Natural Language processing. She is currently working on her own API as a personal project, hoping to bring innovation to automated information retrieval systems. She has worked for Microsoft as part of the BING team, developing a platform for incident management on maps. As future plans, she aims to broaden her horizons and professional background by taking courses in finance and economics, having developed an interest in algorithmic trading and DMA.

Gloria Rosetto
Gloria studies MSci Chemistry at Imperial College London. Her interests include renewable energy, astronomy, materials science, and green chemistry. She is currently the President of Imperial’s Environmental Society. She has worked as a lab assistant at DSM, as well as a research group at Imperial College. In the future, she plans to apply her studies towards achieving sustainability in chemical processes and materials. She also enjoys cooking, music, and running.

Danial is in his second year studying Law at the LSE. He is particularly interested in the regulatory issues facing artificial intelligence and how AI can improve the financial services and legal industries. He also enjoys running and wishes to specialise in technology law after his degree.

Riccardo studies Management Science at LSE with a major in Decision Science. His interests include consulting, research, and implementation, with an orientation towards functions in strategy, organisational structure, and sustainability. He has had various travel, study, and work experiences around Europe, Africa and Asia. He is fluent in four languages including Mandarin, and has a passion for international environments and fostering cross-border cooperation.

Felix studies BSc (Hons) in Government at the LSE. He has a background in politics, philanthropy and technology, having worked in the office of Malcolm Turnbull, 29th Prime Minister of Australia, in the philanthropy office of the Art Gallery of New South Wales, and as a commissioned broker on Australia’s first ICO for Power Ledger. He is interested in AI ethics and is concerned by the oligopolistic market concentration of data, as well as the lack of financial compensation for data producers.

Jae-Yong studies MSc Management of Information Systems and Digital Innovations at LSE. Besides AI, his interests include hiking, running, boxing, playing the clarinet, and reading like a bookworm.

Winston is currently studying BSc Management in his third year at the LSE. His passions range from social-entrepreneurship over playing the piano to skiing during the winter months. In the future, he sees himself working for a globally leading consultancy firm in order to drive companies from a variety of industries to operational excellence.

She believes that with AI set to impact the individual and global routine, a diverse approach to understanding and managing the rise of the machine is warranted. Consequently, she is interested in how policies will be developed in order to catch up with technology, making initiatives more effective and ethically conscious. In the future, she hopes to pursue a career in diplomacy, working on multilateral cooperation and international collaborative projects.
